What to Expect When Your Pet Is Hospitalized
Thank you for trusting our doctors and staff to care for your pet. The All Cats family understands that the hospitalization of your pet can be a very emotional and financially stressful time. We are here to care for your pet, and to care for you as an owner. Please be assured that we are giving the best treatment we can provide, while keeping you informed and updated as is possible throughout your pet’s stay with us.
We have established a daily routine to monitor patient progress, provide treatment, and allow for visitation, based on the patient’s condition. Our doctors perform physical examinations and prepare patients for diagnostics each morning. After we have completed the exams and diagnostics for all our hospitalized patients, we can provide you with an update on your pet (this usually happens after 10AM each morning.)
We will continue treatment and monitoring of our hospitalized patients throughout the day and perform additional exams and diagnostics as needed in the afternoon. Again, our doctors and technicians will be available to provide updates and information, prior to the end of the day (usually after 4PM.)
If for any reason we need authorization from you for additional services or procedures, or if we have pertinent information about your pet’s condition, we will contact you immediately on the phone numbers you provided. Otherwise, we will be available to accept calls for updates at the times noted above. Although we understand that you may be anxious about your pet’s condition, please be assured that we will notify you immediately if a problem arises.
Hospitalization can sometimes be financially demanding, so please be certain to ask our reception staff about the Care Credit program. Care Credit offers an interest free repayment period for clients who accrue a high account balance for medical procedures and office visits. This option can make it easier for you to authorize procedures or services that your pet needs while easing the financial strain associated with the cost of unexpected medical care.
Again, thank you for trusting us to care for your pet. Please let us know if we can do anything to provide better care for your cat or if we can assist you in any way while your pet is in our care.
